Procedure for applications and grant payments

 

Applications are considered from eligible young sportspeople, irrespective of race, sex or disability, whose permanent home is in the North East:

DURHAM      TYNE AND WEAR     NORTHUMBERLAND     TEES VALLEY.


Application should be made by the individual on the FORM HERE, and then submitted to Future Sport through the appropriate governing body.

 

The Future Sport Grants Panel will make recommendations and once the grant has been approved, it will be paid to the applicant in accordance with the terms of the award. Grants, usually averaging £500, are to help towards training costs in the following 12 months.

 

GOVERNING BODIES
Governing bodies are responsible for monitoring the recipient’s progress. To assist Future Sport in demonstrating to donors the effectiveness of grant aid, a progress report during the period of the grant is encouraged. Further grants require fresh applications and are subject to availability of funds.

 

CO-OPERATION OF RECIPIENTS
Future Sport seeks publicity for fund raising and relies on the co-operation of grant recipients in giving credit in interviews or other appropriate occasions, to the support they have received from Future Sport.The chances to fundraise are greatly enhanced by the presence of recipients in support of fundraising events and schemes.
